Hoa Phat handed over a batch of Container boxes to VSICO

In late May, Hoa Phat delivered 400 containers to its strategic partner, VSICO Maritime Joint Stock Company (VSICO), marking a total of 700 containers provided to this partner since the beginning of the year. The shipment originated from Hoa Phat's Container Factory located in Phu My II Industrial Park Expansion, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

Mr. Vu Duc Sinh, Director of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, said that VSICO is a famous shipping company which has a long history and is one of the leading units in container transportation in Vietnam. With a rich history and continuous development, VSICO has risen to rank 2nd nationwide in terms of output through domestic ports. After this shipment, the two sides hope to continue to cooperate in supplying more container products in the near future.

“This order from VSICO would be served for the VSICO Chan May Port project (Berth No 4 and 5) in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, Thua Thien Hue Province with a total cost of more than VND1.67 trillion. This port is capable of receiving cargo ships of up to 70,000 tons and container ships of up to 4,000 TEUS. The order would not only meet the transportation and storage needs of VSICO but also contribute to promoting the development of the maritime industry and the economy of the Central region," Mr. Sinh added.

These containers are tailored to VSICO's specific preferences and detailed requirements. Additionally, their utilization of solvent paint enhances durability and stability compared to water-based alternatives. Looking ahead, VSICO anticipates exploring and executing future contracts with Hoa Phat, building upon their successful partnership.

In the past, Hoa Phat has supplied container shipments to numerous prominent partners including Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), New Way Lines, Vietsun, Topaz Marine, and Vinafco.

The Hoa Phat container factory boasts a total annual capacity of 500,000 TEU, primarily specializing in 20 and 40-foot general cargo container products. Phase 1, with a capacity of 200,000 TEU per year, has been successfully completed and is now operational. With this extensive capacity, Hoa Phat stands as the largest manufacturer of ISO container equipment in Vietnam and throughout Southeast Asia.
